According to the New York Times, Google and Yahoo confirmed that both of them had agreed to delay their search advertising partnership in order to give more time to the Justice Department to investigate any antitrust implications.
This deal consists of Yahoo and Google collaborating to allow Google to put ads in some search results on Yahoo. It is unclear if the Department of Justice wants to put some limits to their deal.
“The companies have agreed to a brief delay in implementing this agreement to continue our ongoing discussions with the Department of Justice. We have had discussions with regulators and look forward to responding to their questions about this agreement,” said Yahoo.
