Poll Shows Nation Has a Negative View of Michelle Obama
Advert
Yahoo and the Associated Press have jointly conducted a poll in an attempt to discover how the nation views potential first ladies Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain. The results, which were released earlier today by CNN, indicate that more people have a negative than a positive view of Michelle Obama, the wife of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
The results showed that 35 percent of registered voters view her unfavorably in comparison to the 30 percent of American voters who view her favorably. The negative feedback of Obama from the poll results comes despite the fact that approximately 80 percent of African-Americans who participated in the survey view her in a positive light.
The poll also indicates that more people have a definitive view of Obama than Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican presidential candidate John McCain. Of Americans who participated in the poll, 27 percent responded by stating that they view her favorably in comparison to only 17 percent who view her in a negative light.
