According to a group of scientists from the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, global warming is occurring sooner than anticipated. Releasing their findings in a document titled the "Copenhagen Analysis," sea levels may rise sooner than expected by 2100.
"Accounting for ice-sheets and glaciers, global sea-level rise may exceed 1 meter by 2100, with a rise of up to 2 meters considered an upper limit," the document stated. "Ocean levels would keep on rising after 2100 and "several meters of sea level rise must be expected over the next few centuries."
The scientists authoring the document have released it as a warning to the Copenhagen climate summit next month. The authors of the document hope that it will serve as a necessary wake up call to the threats of global warming.
"This is a final scientific call for the climate negotiators from 192 countries who must embark on the climate protection train in Copenhagen," Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Director of the Potsdam Institute, released in a statement.

So much for science being about science and not just trying to influence public policy... The whole basis for science is supposed to be finding facts, regardless of what the outcome says... This is just blatantly trying to influence international accords...
"And we will beat up anyone who disagrees with us!!!"
