Senator Reid Hopes to Persuade Three Undecided Democrats
Advert
A Senate vote will be casted on Saturday night that will serve as the first hurdle for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s health care reform bill.
In order for the bill to advance to the next step in the process, Senator Reid will need every Democratic and independent Senator to vote in favor of the legislation since Republicans will all but certainly oppose it unanimously. There are three moderate Democrats who are unsatisfied with various components of the bill, and Senator Reid is undergoing the process of trying to persuade them to vote in favor of the legislation, according to Mercury News.
The three unidentified Democratic Senators have not announced whether or not they are leaning one way or another but the Senate Majority Leader is reportedly concerned due to the fact that if even one of the three decides to vote against the bill, his legislation would not be approved.
One of the most controversial aspects of his bill is the public option that contains an opt-out clause. Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, who will vote in favor of the legislation on Saturday, has revealed his recommendation for the health care reform legislation.
Senator Rockefeller seeks an amendment that would require the public plan to pay for hospitals and other health care providers based on Medicare rates.
Good news, it turns out that Senator Orin Hatch (R) was in error when he asserted that Senator Reid's bill is longer than Tolstoy's War and Peace. While it does have more pages than the rather long novel (2,034 to 1,392), it has fewer total words (between 384,067 and 411,000 to 561,893). Congress uses much larger margins and type font than do publishing companies. This may well be because publishers need to consider the cost of paper whereas Congress never worries about cost. The reason for the spread on number of words is related to how one counts the word. I went to a special tv talk disney dvd collection exhibit recently at the New Orleans Museum of Art. It’s called “Dreams Come True: Art of the Classic Fairy Tales from the cartoon all Disney dvds Studio.”
It’s a huge exhibit. We spent over half an hour in the section dedicated to “anime disney dvd collection.” And there were other areas dedicated to “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
I love “Beauty and the Beast” for obvious reasons. Maybe one day tv Disney dvd box set will do “Beauty and the Underachieving Slob with Irresponsibility Issues.”
When I think of cartoon disney dvd collection, I think of tv series disney dvd collection music. And when I think of Disney film music, I think of aggravating songs stuck in my head.
On the news report, the anchor was reading copy about show Disney 100 years magic dvd what a whimsical moment, while footage rolled of the ground crew groovin’ to the music. All of a sudden, disney dvd box set one of them lost control and began playing air guitar.
