Fort Hood, is the largest U.S. military facility in the world, suffered a violent internal struggle on Thursday. Investigators are still trying to piece together the circumstances in which military psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan went on a rampage in the base. Hasan went on a violent rampage, killing 13 people and wounding 30 more before being shot by a female officer that suffered non life-threatening injuries during the attack.
According to army Col. Steven Braverman, Hasan has not revealed any suspicious behavior that would result in his assault on the base. Braverman did not go into specifics in a morning news statement yet noted that investigations were ongoing.
"We had no problems with job performance while he was working with us," said Col. Braverman.
Hasan was hospitalized after the attack. He is currently in stable condition and expected to recover.
