According to CNN, in Brooklyn NY a four story residential building collapsed in the neighborhood known as Fort Greene. In the accident at least four people were injured, and are suffering from minor injuries on Sunday.
A fire department spokesperson said that the four people injured were given medical attention immediately and only one of them needed to be taken at the Brooklyn Hospital.
A spokesperson for that department confirmed that the owner of the collapsed building was cited in May after inspectors noticed several vertical cracks on an exterior wall.
Residents of the adjacent buildings were evacuated in order for the experts to confirm if the buildings are safe.
This specific case will heard Monday by the city's Environmental Control Board, which handles citations issued by the buildings department.
