I don't think I could list as many books as you did. I'm one of those people who have a short list of favorites and then reads them over and over again. I love that I catch something new that I previously missed almost everytime I read a book. I love knowing a book so well that I can quote it off the top of my head. But mostly I love that, just like the more time you spend with a person, the more time you spend with a book the more you get to know the author. My favorite books are as follows:
The Harry Potter series (JK Rowling)
The lord of the Rings Trilogy (JRR Tolkien)
Jane Austin's
Pride and Prejudice
Persuasion
Narthanger Abbey
Sense and Sensability
I also love love love A Tale of Two Cities (Charles Dickens) and the Chronicles of Narnia Books (CS Lewis).
But my all-time favorite author would have to be Mark Twain. I absolutely LOVE everyone of his books. I love his style and I LOVE his sense of humor! The most difficult book of his to read was The Innocents Abroad because it wasn't actually a story, so it had no plot. This made it hard to stick with and get through. But with that being said, it's possibly my favorite of his books because it is a true story. it is actually his journal from when he traveled abroad. You really get to know the real Mark Twain reading this book and he is SO funny. In addition to that, You get a very interesting point of view of the world as Mark Twain saw it in the 1860s. No political correctness (Some of the things he said would not be allowed today) just simple, unfiltered Mark Twain and his point of view. Fantastic! |

haha, believe me, it took me a while to remember all of the names xD
I often read up to five or six books in a week, I love reading a diverse selection and reading into the subtext ^^
Mark Twain is one of the most brilliant writers i have ever read and I admire him greatly!
hehe, never could get through that Journal >_> my brain kept drifting xD but I shall most certainly try with a review like that!

Wow! Five to six books a week! I have dyslexic origins so I'm a slower reader. If it's a book I'm really into, I can usually finish it in a week. Otherwise it usually takes me a couple weeks to read a book (depending on length) I have a whole pile of books I want to read, including the Dumas books on the life of D'artangan the muskateer and all the Sherlock Holmes books. I also really want to read the Twilight books, but I'm currently reimmersed in the Harry Potter books (It's an annual thing). I'll have to let you know what I think of the others once I've read them. |

hehe, im a pretty quick reader.
and it doesnt make you a slow reader, just a careful reader =P
oh! I have the twilight series, its pretty good, though its greatness is somewhat eclipsed by the fanatic reading of the series all over the place.
I do that too, reading a series (especially harry potter) once every 8 months or so =P

I recently finished reading "Marley & Me," and it definitely deserves a place on my top 10 list. In fact, I am putting it in place of "Something Borrowed." |
